Use your location for local weather? Your location stays on this device and is only sent (as coordinates) to the weather and map services that supply the data.
Chat answers come from an AI and can be wrong. By default the AI runs on your phone; if you add a Groq key, your messages go to Groq.
Rogue chat — choose on-phone or Groq in Settings → Rogue's brain.
Tell Rogue what's really happening where you are:
📊 Rogue's own forecast
Rogue forecasts every hour from 6 weather models + the NWS, checks itself against a real weather
station when the time comes, explains its misses, and keeps whichever method has been more
accurate here. Statistics on real data — the same idea the National Weather Service uses (MOS) —
not a neural network.

⛈️ Storm Chase mode (live narration)
Rogue calls out live changes (new alerts, rain starting, Kp spikes). It speaks them out loud if
"Speak updates" is on in Settings → Voice. It always states the official forecast too.

Warnings on this phone
Two separately labeled kinds: (1) official National Weather Service warnings the moment
they're issued; (2) Rogue's early-signal notice, only once its own history has 20+ logged
observations and a real gap between flagged and normal rain rates. Rogue's notice always
says it's a frequency count, never an official forecast.
Not an official warning service. In an emergency call 911 and follow the National Weather Service and local officials.
📲 Background alerts (app closed)
A web page can't run or talk once it's closed — that's an Android/Chrome rule. The
Forecaster AI Android app can: it checks about every 15 minutes, puts the alert in your
status bar and Rogue says it out loud.
⬇ Download the Android app (APK)
Open the downloaded file → allow "install unknown apps" for your browser once → Install. Play Protect may say the developer is unknown (it's not from the Play Store).
Alerts when the app is closed
Uses the raw forecast models (Open-Meteo) + official NWS warnings — not Rogue's learned corrections,
which stay in the app's own storage. No heads-ups 11 PM–6 AM except storms; at night only official
warnings are spoken. Android may delay checks while the phone sits idle (battery saver/Doze).
🎙️ Voice
Speak updates out loud
Every line is new: Rogue remembers its last lines and won't repeat them, and it notices if
you check again before anything has changed. With "Speak updates" on, it talks only when
something really changes.

Checking…
The on-phone model runs on your phone's graphics chip. Your questions never leave the phone
and it keeps working with no signal. It's a small model (1–2 billion parameters, vs. ~120
billion for Groq's), so it's slower and makes more mistakes. The weather numbers it quotes
come from this app's live data, not from the model.

Install Forecaster AI
Two ways to get the app icon on your home screen: the Android app (best: alerts and voice even when closed) or Add to Home Screen.
Tap below and confirm — this adds a real app icon to your home screen. It opens full-screen,
no browser bar, and updates automatically whenever this site is updated.
iOS Safari doesn't allow apps to trigger the install prompt directly — this is an Apple
platform restriction, not something this app can bypass. Do it manually, takes about 10 seconds:
Tap the Share button (square with an arrow, in Safari's bottom bar)
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
Tap "Add" top right
Once added, it opens full-screen from your home screen like a real app, and updates
automatically when this site updates.
Your browser doesn't expose an automatic install option here. Look for "Add to Home Screen"
or "Install App" in your browser's menu (usually the ⋮ or share icon).
Best on Android: the real app. Opens from its own icon with no Chrome, and Rogue can
alert you and talk out loud even when it's closed.
⬇ Download Forecaster AI for Android
Open the file when it finishes → allow installs from your browser once → Install.
